Lincoln Place Apartment Homes

I've lived at Lincoln Place Apartments for about a year now, and so far it's been an exceptional experience. The grounds are always green, clean, and blooming with new trees (fruit trees to be exact!). Not only that, but when I need a repair done someone is able to come by within 1-2 days, but if it's urgent they come by even sooner. I'm very excited to utilize the pool and gym this summer, as there were COVID restrictions implemented the last couple of months. Luckily we were able to walk to the park and use the grills nearby when everything else was closed. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking in the Venice area!

I am a current resident at Lincoln Place. I would highly discourage anyone from signing a lease here. There are currently multiple violent residents who live in the community and there has been no meaningful action to curtail their behavior or have them removed from the property. They have made threats to other residents and create a deliberately disruptive and unsafe living environment. Management has informed us that there is nothing they can do and have told us, the residents who are living here, to “call the cops” and report their behavior. Let this review serve as part of that effort. This property is currently unsafe due to the behavior of these residents and Management inaction. There is no meaningful plan for intervention at this time. While we as current residents are apparently limited in what we are able to do, we encourage anyone looking to sign a new lease look elsewhere for their safety.

My partner and I have lived at Lincoln Place for about 2 and 1/2 years now and have only good things to say about this community! We love our apartment—it's spacious and open, well designed, and has great storage! We have a huge kitchen, lots of windows, washer/dryer in-unit, and a pretty sizable balcony that gets great sunlight. We've had very few maintenance needs over the years, but anytime we do the techs fix it so quickly and are so professional and polite. The security guys and cleaners are always friendly too! The community feels like a little neighborhood of its own, is great to walk around, and the landscaping makes it feel like you're in a park. The pool is honestly like a resort, the gym is really well equipped, and I love that we have the option for a garage (which has a great overhead storage area too!). I will note that the walls and floors are somewhat thin (like with most older buildings), but as long as you and your neighbors are respectful it's totally manageable. The rent is not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and the location is prime! So happy we stumbled upon this place.

After 1 year review: Pros: - Beautiful neighborhood, walks are enjoyable - Super organized maintenance system. They will fix what ever it is within 24 hours - Security staff 24/7 on guard - Garages - minimal theft/ lost packages for me (avoid living close to Ralph and Ross) - Amenities pools, gyms, super well maintained - Modern finishes - Kind staff, professional - Great neighbors - Dog friendly but most dog owners clean up afterwards, really good community - Close to both Santa Monica and Southbay. - Close to Venice attraction area… so many! Con: - Rent is on the expensive side, for the new comers to the community anyway. - Many dogs if you are afraid of one, don’t choose the one near the dog park! - Walls and the floors are PAPER thin. I can hear my neighbors talk. Literally so transparent. It’s something you just have to accept by living here. - Lawns are beautiful but this means they will mow the lawn every week, you will be bothered by the sound when working from home, on zoom calls. I wish they mow the lawn in the afternoon. Overall, beautiful place to live if you can comfortably afford it!
